Terms of use
Plain enough to read. The parts that matter most are about what the product is not.
1. What the service is
Animind AI produces probabilistic interpretations of animal behaviour from media and context you supply. It does not translate animal language. No output is a statement an animal made.
2. What it is not
The service is not veterinary, medical, training, conservation or emergency advice, and does not create a professional relationship of any kind. Outputs relating to pain, discomfort or welfare are observational flags and must be reviewed by a qualified professional.
Prohibited use
- • Approaching a wild animal on the basis of an app output.
- • Playing any recording to a wild or free-living animal.
- • Playing an animal a recording of a different animal.
- • Playing an animal back a call it made while frightened, hurt or in distress.
- • Provoking, restraining, frightening or manipulating an animal to produce a recording.
- • Approaching nests, dens, offspring or feeding animals.
Accounts used in these ways may be suspended without notice.
3. Your content
You keep ownership of everything you upload. You grant us only the licence needed to store it, process it to produce your results, and display it back to you and to people you explicitly share it with. Any use beyond that — in particular model training — requires the separate consents described in the privacy policy and can be withdrawn at any time.
You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload, including where recordings contain other people or other people’s animals.
4. Accounts
You must be old enough to form a contract in your jurisdiction. Accounts marked as belonging to a child have media that is permanently ineligible for training. Professional roles are granted only after credential review; declaring one does not confer it.
5. Plans and billing
Plan limits are described on the pricing page and enforced in the product. A submitted observation counts as one analysis, including when the result is “insufficient evidence”. Purchases inside the mobile apps are handled by Apple and Google under their own terms.
6. Availability and accuracy
The service is provided without a warranty of accuracy. Interpretations are probabilistic and will sometimes be wrong. Confidence values are estimates, not guarantees. Decisions about an animal’s welfare, safety or treatment must not rest on this product alone.
7. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
8. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from within the product. We may suspend an account for prohibited use, for non-payment, or where required by law. Your export rights survive termination for the duration of the deletion grace period.
9. Changes
Material changes are notified in advance and the policy version you accepted is recorded against your consent record, so it is always possible to establish what you agreed to and when.
